The Riverwalk District is Reno's waterfront gem — restaurants and bars lining the banks of the Truckee River with patio seating, craft cocktails, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you forget you're in a city. When the weather is nice and the river is flowing, there's genuinely no better place to drink in Northern Nevada.
Why the Riverwalk Is Special
The views. Sitting on a patio overlooking the Truckee River with a cocktail in hand is peak Reno. The rushing water, the bridge views, the mountain air — it's an experience, not just a drink.
The food quality is high. The Riverwalk attracts Reno's most ambitious restaurants. Chef Mark Estee's Liberty Food & Wine Exchange practically invented the modern Reno food scene. Wild River Grille and Pignic Pub bring equally serious culinary chops.
Walkable from downtown. The Riverwalk is steps from the casino district but feels like a different world — quieter, more scenic, and distinctly Reno.

Wild River Grille

Pignic Pub & Patio
28 craft beers on tap, $5 drafts during happy hour Mon-Fri 5-7 PM, and Korean gochujang wings with tots for $10. The patio is the whole point — picnic tables, string lights, losing track of time.
The River Walk
Start at Liberty for wine and small plates, walk along the river to Wild River Grille for a mule on the patio, then finish at Pignic for craft beer and wings. The entire route follows the Truckee River, and on a summer evening, it's the best two hours you'll spend in Reno.
