Wild River Grille Happy Hour Guide

The Happy Hour Lowdown

Wild River Grille runs a tight and tasty happy hour Monday through Friday from 4-6 PM with a simple formula: everything is $7 or less. The raspberry lemon drop cocktails and the Wild River Mule are both excellent, and on the food side, the spicy Thai wings and the crab-and-salmon cakes at under seven bucks are legitimately some of the best happy hour bites on the Riverwalk.

Why You're Actually Here

The location. Wild River Grille is nestled on the banks of the Truckee River inside the historic Riverside Hotel building, and during happy hour on a warm evening, there's genuinely no better seat in Reno. The patio overlooks the river, the water rushing past while you sip your mule, and for a brief, perfect moment you forget you're in the middle of a city. The food quality here punches well above what you'd expect from a "bar and grill" -- the kitchen takes their craft seriously.

The Vibe Check

Casual upscale is the energy. You can show up in jeans and a nice shirt and feel right at home, but the food and cocktails have an elevated quality that justifies a date night. The Riverwalk District location means you're steps from downtown but in a quieter, more scenic pocket of the city. The crowd is mostly locals -- this is a "regular Tuesday after work" spot for a lot of Reno professionals.

Pro Tip

Request patio seating if weather permits, and come a little before 4 PM to snag a riverside table. Those seats fill up fast once happy hour starts. The crab-and-salmon cakes are the sleeper hit -- order them before the wings. Trust me.
